One of the first things that normal family witnesses in the morning is a newspaper at the doorstep.
I wanted to do a series on understanding how this supply-chain works for a long time.
A newspaper is a combination of different clusters of editions coming from different places. Main edition, district edition, magazine, etc. All these clusters reach a meeting point at around 4:30 in the morning and a paperboy combines them to make the final product that hits the door.
It's a meticulous supply-chain and people have been following this from the time there was a door-to-door print media.
However, due to the pandemic and the fear of the virus spread even with newspapers; sales witnessed a significant downfall. They say earlier they used to sell at least 1500+ copies a day but nowadays (2020) the sales are not even reaching the mark of 800.
